Mexico-based seafood restaurant Baltico coming to North San Antonio

San Antonio is getting yet another restaurant serving coastal Mexican cuisine.

Baltico Seafood & Grill is preparing for its grand opening at 402 N. Loop 1604 West near the interchange with U.S. Highway 281. The original Baltico is based in Torreón, Mexico, so this marks the concept’s first expansion into Texas.

The new eatery is “almost ready to open,” according to the most recent post on its Instagram page. The Current reached out for a grand opening date and other details but got no response by press time.

The menu posted on Baltico’s website shows its emphasis on Mexican seafood dishes, including seared yellowfin tuna, sweet and sour salmon, zarandeado fish filet, oysters, ceviches, seafood towers and more.

The restaurant will also have some coastal-inspired pizzas, with toppings including salmon, smoked tuna, shrimp and pineapple. There’s also a classic pepperoni pizza and an arrachera pizza with fresh skirt steak.

For the seafood-averse, the menu offers an assortment of burgers, several types of steak and a panko-fried chicken sandwich. The restaurant also has a kid’s menu and a selection of desserts, including a campechano tower, an ice cream sundae, chocolate cake and other options.

The drinks menu wasn’t available on the website but Baltico teased that cocktails would be part of the dining experience.
