The Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (HHCC) will present its 2026 The State of Hispanics – Data Summit & Business Expo, bringing together more than 400 leaders from business, academia, government and civic organizations from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at Hilton Americas–Houston, 1600 Lamar Street.

Data That Goes Deeper
What makes the Summit particularly valuable is its foundation of research. HHCC has assembled an extensive collection of data resources that allows attendees and Houston decision-makers to examine Hispanic influence from multiple angles.
Among them is The State of the Hispanic Vote in Texas, examining an increasingly consequential segment of the state’s electorate. Research from Dr. Jeronimo Cortina, Associate Professor and Associate Director of the University of Houston’s Center for Mexican American Studies, includes 2024 Texas Trends and an examination of Hispanics in Corporate Boards.
The economic picture is expanded through Lopez Negrete Communications’ Economic Impact of Latinos in Houston, while Dr. Pablo Pinto, Director of the Center for Public Policy at the University of Houston’s Hobby School of Public Affairs, contributes research examining The State of Hispanics in Houston.
HHCC’s resource library reaches even further, incorporating research on the economic impact of DACA, NAFTA and international trade, and Telemundo’s Hispanic Impact Summit data.

For Dr. Laura Murillo, President & CEO of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, understanding Hispanic Houston isn’t simply about representation. It is increasingly fundamental to understanding the region’s marketplace.
