Technology is helping the Atlanta Police Department respond faster, locate suspects, and keep Atlanta safe. In one case, license plate readers helped officers locate a stolen vehicle in less than 15 minutes after a 2-year-old child was reported inside. In another, police technology and strong investigative work helped identify a suspect who broke into an unlocked truck and stole items, leading to his arrest less than a month later. From locating stolen vehicles to helping investigators put suspects behind bars, technology is another tool helping APD protect the people and property of Atlanta.
