Isaiah Stewart out 2 weeks with ankle injury
Isaiah Stewart only played two minutes after tweaking his ankle in the Memphis Grizzlies’ 132-123 preseason opener loss on Monday against the Atlanta Hawks.
The big man subsequently missed the team’s 122-118 home loss against the Orlando Magic last Wednesday.
The Grizzlies have acquired Stewart from the Detroit Pistons in exchange for three future second-round draft picks during the 2026 NBA Draft.
Stewart averaged 10.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game while shooting 55.0% from the field across 58 appearances to help the Pistons’ 60-win season.
The Grizzlies will play two more preseason games before making their 2026-27 opening night on Oct. 21 at home against the Utah Jazz.
