The 2026-2027 NFL season is well underway. If Week 5 taught us anything, it’s that no lead is safe and several coaches can’t help but get in their own way.

Heading into Week 6, the schedule becomes vital as teams continue positioning themselves in their respective divisions. Here are seven bold predictions for Week 6 in the National Football League.

Every team needs its franchise quarterback, and the Bears have done their best to tread water while Williams has been out with a hamstring injury. Chicago visits Atlanta with a game plan to run the ball and let Williams produce.

Prediction: Chicago gets back to running the ball, and Caleb Williams throws for 300 yards in his return from injury.

The Jets upset the Patriots

On paper, New England is the choice. However, the Jets have displayed competitiveness, and the Patriots are no stranger to turning the football over. This divisional game will be a battle, and New York will throw everything at New England.

Prediction: The Jets play their best game of the season, upsetting the Patriots 16-10.

The Chargers relieve Jim Harbaugh of his duties following the team’s 0-6 start

The Chargers have had a horrendous start to the season. Entering Sunday’s game at 0-5, the team heads to Kansas City. This division rivalry game won’t end well for Los Angeles.

Prediction: The Chiefs dominate the Chargers. Following the team’s 0-6 start, Los Angeles’ front office relieves Jim Harbaugh of his head coaching duties.

Chicago’s Austin Booker adds two sacks

The Bears’ defense is inadequate. They have trouble stopping the run and defending the pass. The one bright spot has been defensive end Austin Booker.

Prediction: Austin Booker stars against Atlanta, adding two sacks to his season total.

Nick Sirianni’s seat becomes hotter following the team’s loss to Carolina

The Eagles are in a state of flux. Injuries have mounted, a key offensive lineman announced his retirement, and the team has dropped winnable games. Sunday’s game doesn’t go well as Philadelphia hosts Carolina.

Prediction: The Eagles drop a big game at home versus the Panthers, and the front office starts the motion to remove head coach Nick Sirianni from head coaching duties.

Aaron Donald records his first sack of the season

If it wasn’t for a penalty, Donald would’ve had his first recorded sack during Monday Night Football. Unfortunately, the penalty negated the quarterback sack, and Donald looks to this Sunday’s game. The Rams welcome the Cardinals, and this is the perfect game for Aaron Donald’s return to the NFL.

Prediction: Aaron Donald is a force on Sunday, sacking the Cardinals’ quarterback three times.

Parker Washington has another big game

Jacksonville’s Parker Washington is having the best start to a season in his career. On Sunday morning, Jacksonville hosts Houston in London. Washington will exploit the Texans’ secondary, posting gaudy numbers.

Prediction: Parker Washington catches 10 passes for 150 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
