Michel Pereira has a new place to call home after parting ways with the UFC earlier this year, and his next bout is scheduled for Dec. 19. Pereira will draw Contender Series veteran In Su Hwang in a middleweight bout at Chan Sung Jung’s fight promotion ZFN, the company announced Monday.
ZFN 5 will air live on UFC Fight Pass.
Pereira (32-15, 2 no contest) became a free agent after losing a decision to Shara Magomedov in June. The match was highly controversial, with “Bullet” holding Pereira’s hair during grappling exchanges with no punishment from referee Herb Dean.
Pereira is no strange to competing in the South Korean market. The 33-year-old fighter made a name for himself in the country before joining the UFC, going 3-0 with a trio of knockout finishes under the Road FC banner.
“Demolidor” was victorious in 10 of 16 appearances across two weight classes in the UFC with key victories over the likes of Khaos Williams, Santiago Ponzinibbio, Michał Oleksiejczuk and Niko Price.
Hwang (9-2), a former Road FC middleweight champion, headlined ZFN’s latest card in May, stopping Bellator and PFL veteran Alex Polizzi in the third round. The 32-year-old had a shot on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2025 but lost a decision to Paddy McCorry.
