DENVER — Who’s ready for some relief from the June heat?!
Today was the hottest day of the year in Denver! Denver International Airport hit 99-degrees this afternoon, just one degree shy of the current record of 100-degrees last set in 2012.
Good news if you’re not a fan of the early summer heat! An overnight cold front will usher in much cooler temperatures to the state Tuesday. Daytime highs will be he mid to upper 70s over the Denver metro area and Eastern Plains. That’s a 25-degree drop in high temperatures!
Storms will be few and far between on Tuesday. If any pop up, they won’t last long or bring much moisture.
The 70s stick around Wednesday along with mostly cloudy skies and a few showers. Look for a better chance of storms on Thursday and Friday as temperatures climb into the low to mid 80s.
