SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — There are many Hispanic-owned and operated businesses across San Diego County that CBS 8 will be shining the spotlight on across our community. It is important to businesses across all industries that the community considers shopping local in San Diego.

To share your favorite Hispanic-owned San Diego business, please submit the name and information through the CBS 8 app or text (858) 571-8888. We will be featuring businesses each weekday in CBS 8 newscasts throughout the months of September and October.

San Diego Grief Counseling

The owner provides tele-therapy for people who have lost someone.

The website sells gifts for babies and kids. They wrap the gifts and ship them within 24 hours. There’s even same-day delivery within San Diego County.

The family-owned restaurant located in Solana Beach was opened by the current manager’s grandparents back in 1946.

The non-profit helps workers in the hospitality industry experiencing temporary setbacks.

They provide beverage and snack vending services at no cost to businesses, profiting just on the sales of the goods inside.

They’ve been open since 2014. The owner is from Mexico City and says he wanted to showcase Mexican cuisine with a twist.

This landscape maintenance company says they take a holistic approach to care for your yard.

It’s a Mexican party shop in City Heights. The family-owned business was started 31 years ago. You can get party supplies and unique piñatas.

The Red O Restaurant in La Jolla serves what they call elevated Mexican cuisine and gourmet cocktails.

That’s the acronym for Accessory Dwelling Units — also known as granny flats. This company helps people navigate how to build an ADU on their property.

Novo Brazil Brewing Company

The beer is brewed in Chula Vista, but they say it’s inspired by Brazil. Their location at the Otay Ranch Mall is a bar, restaurant and brewery all in one.

The ice cream truck serves Chula Vista and greater San Diego uniquely Mexican treats including scooped ice cream and paletas in such flavors as Chicle, Sandia, Pepino, and Chocolate Abuelita.  

Los Cuates Seafood and Bar is a  family owned restaurant in Chula Vista. “Cuates” mean twins in Spanish and the owners are twin brothers!

It’s a family-owned company that sells office furniture. They have two locations — in Scripps Ranch and Chula Vista.

Famous Oasis Ice Cream Parlor

Famous Oasis Ice Cream Parlor brought the business from Mexico to South San Diego back in 1978.

Sonia’s Healthy Corner is a San Diego based company that works with individuals, families, and groups to achieve nutrition and health goals.

Vogue Tavern in downtown Chula Vista is located next to the historic vogue theater, which the owners hope to redevelop into a new venue.

It’s a Japanese fusion restaurant in Little Italy. They are known for the big cherry blossom trees inside the business.

Lolita’s is a family-owned Mexican restaurant that’s been around since 1984. They’re known for their carne asada fries and California burritos.

Las Tres Catrinas Restaurant & Bar 

This restaurant and bar located in Chula Vista Mall with a Dia De Los Muertos theme offers unique recipes that have been passed on from family and friends.
