Updated: 5:04 PM EDT Jun 25, 2024

START OF SUMMER HERE AT THE BOSTON COMMON. MAYOR BREW LED THE KICKOFF CELEBRATION EARLIER TODAY WHILE FROG POND FREDDY LED LITTLE TADPOLES IN A DANCE OFF, MUSIC, FROZEN TREATS, AND EVEN SOME LOCAL FARM. FRESH MILK WAS AVAILABLE FOR ATTENDEES. THE SPRAY POOL IS AN EASY, FREE WAY FOR PEOPLE IN AND AROUND BOSTON TO COOL OFF IN THE HEAT OF SUMMER. ALTHOUGH FOR MANY PARENTS HERE, IT PROVIDES SO MUCH MORE JUST SEEING MY DAUGHTER HAPPY JUST SEEING, UH, WHAT KIND OF THINGS I CAN EXPOSE HER TO AND WHAT SHE WILL ENJOY. WE JUST CAME FOR THE EXPERIENCE AND IT WAS WONDERFUL. THEY GOT SOME FREE BALLS. THE BABY GOT SOME FREE STUFF. IT WAS. IT WAS NICE. IT’S JUST SEEING ALL THE PEOPLE WALKING AROUND THE BREEZE, THE TREES, EVERYTHING. YEAH. IT’S GONNA BE A TRADITION OF OURS UNTIL THEY GET OLDER, BUT UNTIL THEY, LIKE, WANT TO DO IT, WE’RE GOING TO DO IT AS LONG AS WE CAN. I, WITH THIS BEING BOTH A SPLASH PAD AND A WADING POOL, CHILDREN OF ALL AGES ARE ABLE TO SAFELY ENJOY THE WATER. MANY PARENTS WE SPOKE TO SAID THEY PLAN TO MAKE AN ENTIRE DAY OUT OF THEIR VISIT, AND THEY CAN EASILY DO SO BECAUSE THE FROG POND IS OPEN FROM 11 TO 6 DAILY UNTIL LABOR DAY. AND WHILE TODAY’S WEATHER WAS ABSOLUTELY IDEAL, IN THE CASE OF STORMY CONDITIONS, YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK THE FROG PONDS EITHER WEBSITE OR SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES TO MAKE SURE THERE’S NO DELA
