WHAT’S UP TODAY
It starts with our closer look at the roster Mario Cristobal has put together … and it’s very much his team now. Are the classes getting stacked the right way, with a high amount of talent? We look to answer that question.
Along those same lines we dive into the depth situations on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball … and you’ll see there are some good situations, and then some not-so-great depth situations.
We’re also taking a closer look at some more impartial outside expectations for this Miami team, so this morning we are breaking down everything Lindy’s had to say about UM v. 2024 and the magazine’s projections for the Canes. Does that match up with how you think the team will do?
There’s more recruiting news for you, too, including the news from Friday that Herbert Scroggins was a commitment – we broke that down with analysis and had the breaking news for you on that.
Then there were more recruiting updates as well.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
Don’t sleep on Elija Lofton … Posted by cortez55403
I think Lofton is gonna play a lot: inline TE; Slot TE, HB and RB. His situation is nothing like Ray Ray Joseph last year where he was expected to get the ball a lot in Year 1 and then didn’t. Ray Ray was a slot not up to the experience of Xavier Restrepo. In contrast, Lofton can catch short, medium and even long passes. He can block very effectively. And, he’s a touchdown machine running near the goal line.
Coaches need to use his versatility and his playmaking. I followed his career at Gorman. Among their stud players, he was the best.
