CADOTT (WQOW) – The Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is almost here and getting ready to showcase agriculture in the Chippewa Valley.
This year’s Farm Technology Days will be held in Cadott at the Close Farms on the Hoof Beat, formerly Country Fest, grounds.
Farm Technology Days is hosted by a different farm each year. It was in Eau Claire in 2021 and hasn’t been in Chippewa County since 2004.
The event shows off some of the latest technology used in agriculture, including how drones can be used on the farm. There’s also music, food trucks, and vendors to celebrate agriculture in the Chippewa County area.
“Ag is a huge economic driver in Chippewa County,” Chippewa Economic Development Corporation president Charlie Walker said. “Because of that we wanted to make sure the next generation and the young kids can see that farming is cool, it’s really amazing, and it’s come a long way.”
Walker said they are expecting to see around 14,000 people each day over the three-day event.
Farm Technology Days runs Aug. 13-15. Click here for information about buying tickets.
