Oklahoma has become a new area of recruitment for the Boston College Eagles, as defensive backs coach Ray Brown has opened doors in the area. In the Class of ’25, the Eagles were involved with Deante Lindsay of Ada (Okla.) and landed commitments from Union teammates (Okla.) quarterback Shaker Reisig and defensive back Ashton Townsend. With the staff also continuing to work on future classes, the staff made an offer to fast rising ’26 Union safety Daijon Gaines.
A 6 foot 1 defensive back, Gaines has seen his recruitment explode of late with offers from Missouri, Kansas State, Houston, Kansas, Baylor, Utah, SMU, and Arizona.
Eagle Insider spoke with Gaines shortly after receiving his offer from Bill O’Brien’s staff.
