Here’s another edition of the daily roundup, and today’s compilation will start with Dana White, who had some steamy words to share for the YouTuber-turned-Boxer, Jake Paul

Thereafter, we’ll steer toward the news involving Conor McGregor. ‘The Notorious’, who took a jibe at former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson. Finally, the roundup edition stops with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev, who praised one of their own after a recent successful outing.

Dana White “doesn’t even think” about Jake Paul’s boxing venture

When Jake Paul fought Tommy Fury, that’s when ‘El Gallo’ caught Dana White’s attention. However, the YouTuber-turned-boxer failed to make the former Love Island contestant bite the dust and the UFC CEO claims that’s when he just stopped caring about what Paul did inside the squared circle.

“I stopped paying attention to Jake Paul when he lost to [Tommy] Fury. When he fought somebody that was his age and actually boxed, he lost,” White told TNT Sports. The 55-year-old has always been keen on seeing a credentialed boxer take on Paul, who’s been making a lot of noise in the MMA world, and that hasn’t happened yet.

However, that does not mean that Dana White has no respect for the people who’ve fought Jake Paul. Former UFC fighters like Mike Perry, Nate Diaz, and Tyron Woodley have the UFC CEO’s respect, but when it comes to ‘El Gallo’, he’s just tired of of the same “old” schtick. “I respect [Mike Perry]. Smaller, older, it’s the same blueprint – fighting older, smaller guys. I literally don’t even think about him anymore. It’s all bullsh*t,” the 55-year-old added.

Conor McGregor reacts to Tony Ferguson’s losing streak

Since the turn of this decade, things haven’t gone Tony Ferguson’s way. He’s lost eight times, with his most recent loss coming against Michael Chiesa with a first-round submission. Former UFC fighter Matt Brown decided to weigh in on this situation, claiming that Ferguson is still waiting for that win, which has become a kind of “high” for him.

“He’s already had that high, he’s thinking I can get back to that… It’s like co***ne. It really is. That’s what walking into an octagon and beating another man’s ass [feels like], especially the way Tony did where he just f***ing ripped people’s souls out of their bodies,” Brown told ‘MMA Fighting’. These comments made their way into social media, and unsurprisingly, they landed under Conor McGregor’s radar.

Conor McGregor’s pretty active on social media, and he’s also known for his post-and-delete tactics, which is what he did when he reacted to Matt Brown’s comments on Tony Ferguson via X. While ‘The Notorious’ did not add anything to ‘The Immortal’s theory, he did, however, share a crying, laughing emoji, expressing his thoughts about Brown’s comments. It remains to be seen if ‘El Cucuy’ gets back at McGregor, but as it stands, the post’s been deleted.

Umar Nurmagomedov edged past Cory Sandhagen in arguably the biggest fight of his career in Abu Dhabi last weekend. This victory reshaped the 28-year-old’s standing in the division. Why? Well, Umar jumped eight places above to the 3rd spot in the bantamweight rankings. His cousin, Khabib Nurmagomedov, seemed ecstatic about this win and shared a message of support for the 18-0 fighter.

“A brotherly heart does not compete or envy. It rejoices art your successes and is saddened by your misfortunes,” ‘The Eagle’ stated on his Instagram handle. (translated by Google).

Not only that, the reigning 155-pound champion Islam Makhachev was also elated with Umar Nurmagomedov’s win over Sandhagen, hoping to see him fight for the title soon, and shared a snap of him with Khabib’s cousin on Instagram. Who will the 18-0 fighter take on next? That remains to be seen and it will be interesting to see how he fares in the top 5 now.
