The best pasta dish in Massachusetts can be found at a renowned pizza shop in the Boston area, according to Yelp Elites.
The food-reviewing site compiled a list of Yelp Elites’ top pasta picks from every state, and the Gnocchetti at Ciao! Pizza & Pasta in Chelsea was chosen as the best in the Bay State.
The miniature Gnocchi dish is served with red wine-braised short ribs, root vegetables and topped with parmesan, according to the restaurant’s website. The dish goes for $25.
A Yelp reviewer said the Gnocchetti has been their favorite pasta dish at Ciao!, adding the dish is “great for those who like creamier, more decadent pastas.”
“We rounded out the order with the arugula and pear salad and the acclaimed Gnocchetti, which I’ll be dreaming about for weeks,“ another Yelp reviewer wrote. ”It’s sooo creamy and cozy, it’s the perfect winter comfort food.”
Both reviewers gave Ciao! Pizza & Pasta a five-star rating on Yelp. The Chelsea staple has an overall 4.8/5-star rating from more than 1,000 Yelp reviews.
Ciao! Pizza and Pasta opened in Chelsea in 2015, bringing some of the best Neapolitan pizza to Boston, according to the restaurant’s website.
The eatery was second on Yelp’s list of top pizza spots in the U.S. and Canada in 2023, named to Food Network’s 2018 list of Best Pizzas in America’s Biggest Cities and voted the best pizza in Boston by Boston Magazine in 2017.
Ciao! revealed plans to open a second location in Somerville earlier this year.
