CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Kavya Karra and Stephanie Yakoff of Harvard women’s tennis won its sixth straight match at the ITA New England Regionals this afternoon to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships.
The sophomore duo downed Peyton Capuano and Michaela Moore of Dartmouth to win the regional championship on their home court. The opponents split the first two sets with Harvard taking the first 6-4 and the Big Green duo bouncing back with a 6-2 decision in the second.
To punch their ticket to the NCAA doubles tournament, the Crimson pairing took the tiebreakers, 10-6. With the win Karra and Yakoff become the eighth duo in program history to qualify for the championships.
