The Phoenix Suns have officially released their new NBA Cup court design for this season.
Check it out in posts they made on X (formerly Twitter):
The court features a center-court logo with the Suns logo overlapping a cup logo, and designs in the paint on each side of the court that make the keys look like cup logos as well. There is a “PHX” wash logo encompassing almost the entire width of the court, and black baselines and sidelines.
Most noticeably, the entirety of the court that is in-bounds is covered in an orange gradient. Also, on the bottom sideline, there is the Phoenix-famous “Valley Gradient” (per the Suns) that has been visible on Suns courts, jerseys and merchandise since the 2020-21 season.
The Emirates NBA Cup 2024 starts Nov. 12, and the Suns are part of the West B bracket. West B consists of the Suns, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Utah Jazz and the San Antonio Spurs. That means there are two other 2023-24 playoff teams in their bracket (Lakers and Thunder), as well as a Spurs team that features 2023-24 Rookie of the Year and block champion Victor Wembanyama.
Last season in the NBA In-Season Tournament, Phoenix went 3-2. Their two losses came to the In-Season Tournament champion Lakers.
This year, they bring a new head coach to the cup, Mike Budenholzer.
