INDIANAPOLIS, IND — Three Peach Belt Conference athletes were selected for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships. Embry-Riddle’s Mikaela Miles and Brooklynn Gould along with Flagler’s Taylor Stone will all compete March 13 to 15 at the Fall Creek Pavilion at Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Ind. Miles will compete in the triple jump with Gould in the pentathlon. Stone will run both the mile and 3000 meters.

Miles makes her second straight trip to the NCAA Championships for the triple jump. The junior from San Diego, Calif., won the triple jump at the PBC Championships with a leap of 12.55 meters, the longest in the PBC this season. She broke the NCAA provisional mark four times this season and was twice named the PBC Field Athlete of the Week. Miles is seeded sixth for the NCAA championship.

Gould ran the pentathlon once this season and smashed the PBC record and NCAA provisional mark with 3702 points at the RADD Sports Invitational in late January. Named the PBC Field Athlete of the Week following that performance, she is seeded 12th for the NCAA Championships. The senior from Eagle River, Alaska, had six podium finishes at the PBC Championships, which did not hold a pentathlon, and has the second-best high jump and long jump in the PBC this season.

Stone also returns to the NCAA Championships and will compete in both the mile and 3000m. The senior from Largo, Fla., set the Flagler program record last weekend in the mile, running 4:42.45 which is the top time in the PBC this season and seeds her seventh for the NCAA championships. She also ran the 3000 in 9:27.63 in February and is seeded 13th for that event.
