San Antonio City announces Memorial Day Holiday Schedule of City Services Last updated: May 24, 2024 9:26 am admin Share 5 Min Read SHARE City announces Memorial Day Holiday Schedule of City Services – City of San Antonio opens in new tab or window Published on May 23, 2024 SAN ANTONIO (May 23, 2024) — City Hall and most municipal offices will be closed Monday, May 27, 2024, in observance of Memorial Day. Public safety and emergency services will remain in operation. Other City services will operate as follows: Police and Fire Police will be on duty Fire and EMS personnel will be on duty General Services 3-1-1 Call Center will be operational from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and from 5 – 11 p.m. for urgent animal concerns and traffic signal malfunctions Animal Care Officers will be on duty Code Enforcement Officers will be available for inspections and emergency coverage Downtown parking visitors will enjoy an on-street parking meter holiday (this does not apply to off-street City-operated garages and lots) Preseason Pools will be open from 1 – 7 p.m. on Monday May 27, 2023. City parks and trails will be open Limited Fitness and Park classes will be held Waste Collection & Drop Off Garbage, recycling, and organics will be collected according to regular collection schedules all week. Bitters Brush site located at 1800 Wurzbach Parkway will be closed Monday, May 27. Bulky Waste drop-off centers and Household Hazardous Waste sites (Bitters, Frio City Rd., Rigsby and Culebra) will be closed on Monday, May 27. Places to Stay Cool The following facilities will be open to serve as places to stay cool: Library locations from 12 – 8 p.m.: Guerra Branch Library, 7978 W Military Dr Igo Branch Library, 13330 Kyle Seale Pkwy Westfall Branch Library, 6111 Rosedale Ct Select Senior and Community Centers from 12 – 8 p.m.: Copernicus Community Center, 5003 Lord Rd Garza Community Center, 1450 Mira Vista Miller’s Pond Community Center, 6075 Old Pearsall Rd. Normoyle Community Center & Senior Center, 700 Culberson Ave Northeast Senior Center, 4135 Thousand Oaks Dr Southside Lions Senior Center, 3303 Pecan Valley Dr Walker Ranch Senior Center, 835 W Rhapsody Dr Facilities & Administrative Offices Open Municipal Court magistration services and SAPD’s detention center La Villita and Market Square shops Closed Central Library and most library locations The Darner Headquarters and Park Reservations Office Head Start administrative offices and school district site City of San Antonio Community Centers, the Natatorium, Fairchild and McFarlin Tennis Centers and the Barrera Community Fitness Center All Metro Health clinics and offices San Antonio Municipal Court The Animal Care Services Lobby and Adoption Center will be closed SAPD’s Administration and Records Section SAFD Administrative Offices Most Senior/Adult Comprehensive Centers Senior Nutrition Sites Willie Velasquez, Claude Black and Frank Garrett community centers Child Care Services administrative offices Carver Community Cultural Center Alamodome Offices and Box Office La Villita and Market Square administrative offices Solid Waste Management administrative offices Development Services Department Economic Development Department Office of Historic Preservation Planning Department Neighborhood and Housing Services Office of the City Clerk, including Vital Records Spanish Governors Palace will be closed on Monday 5/27/2024 Culture Commons Gallery at Plaza de Armas Centro de Artes Gallery at Market Square Pre-K 4 SA Education Centers and Corporate office Sign Up For Daily NewsletterBe keep up!
