SAN ANTONIO – American Airlines has announced the launch of a new non-stop route from San Antonio International Airport to Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C.
This development was unveiled today by Stephen Neuman, Vice President of Global Government Affairs at American Airlines, during a press event held at San Antonio International Airport.
“San Antonio is one of, if not the fastest growing city in the country. It is home to one of the largest concentrations of military bases in the United States,” Neuman stated. “We are excited to see San Antonio’s continued growth and success. This new non-stop route to Reagan National Airport will unlock endless potential.”
City and state officials joined Neuman at the airport to outline the next steps for the non-stop flight, following the recent passing of the FAA Reauthorization Act. This legislation has paved the way for improved air travel infrastructure and new route approvals, facilitating this new connection between San Antonio and the nation’s capital.
