ATHLETES’ HIGHLIGHTSTHE PROGRAMME

The IFSC Climbing World Cup Denver 2025 is the 409th World Cup event in history, featuring the 142nd Speed World Cup competition. It is the first Climbing World Cup to be held in Denver, and the 24th held in the USA.

ATHLETES’ HIGHLIGHTS

A total of 82 athletes, 28 women and 54 men, are registered to compete, travelling from 20 countries and territories in four continents.

All of the men’s medallists from the IFSC Speed World Cup 2025 series so far will be competing in Denver; Sam Watson (USA), Omasa Ryo (JPN), Kiromal Katibin (INA – two medals), Long Jianguo (CHN) and Hryhorii Ilchyshyn (UKR). 

For the women, the three Chinese climbers who have medalled so far this season will compete; Deng Lijuan, Zhou Yafei and Zhang Shaoqin.

The female athletes making their overall debut are:

  • Madi Walsh (USA)

  • Natalie Gates (USA)

  • Emiko Takeuchi (USA)

The male athletes making their overall debut are:

  • Lee Junwoo (KOR)
  • Taede Mai (USA)
  • Zaden Rogers (USA)
  • Joaquin Tapia (CHI)
  • Logan Schlecht (USA)

  • Emma Hunt (USA)
  • Natalia Kalucka (POL)
  • Deng Lijuan (CHN)
  • Zhou Yafei (CHN)
  • Zhang Shaoqin (CHN)

THE PROGRAMME

The IFSC Climbing World Cup Denver 2025 will kick off tomorrow, Saturday, 31 May with the qualification rounds – women then men –  at 16:00 (UTC -6:00). The finals will then take place in Sunday, 1 June at 16:00.

News and updates about all IFSC events will be available on the IFSC website, and on the Federation’s digital channels: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, TikTok, X, YouTube, and exclusively for the Chinese audience, Douyin, Weibo, and Xiaohongshu.
