A total of 30 Texas-based companies were named among the best places to work in 2025.

U.S. News & World Report’s latest annual “Best Companies to Work For” list included nearly 500 public and private companies. The analysis to find the best employers involved six metrics:

• quality of pay and benefits
• work-life balance and flexibility
• job and company stability
• physical and psychological comfort
• belongingness and esteem
• career opportunities and professional development

Along with these key metrics, U.S. News also sourced 30 data points to include measures such as employee sentiment, workforce, leadership quality, business ethics, lawsuit impact and employee benefits.

Several of the Texas businesses that landed on the list also appear in other U.S. News lists, whether for job opportunities or within industries. Houston, Dallas and Austin companies dominated these lists. While all the businesses listed appeared in the overall “Best Companies” list, we’ve organized them according to the more specific categories, divided by job opportunities and industry.
