- Several metro Phoenix restaurants are temporarily closing for the summer.
- Closures allow restaurants to avoid extreme heat, prepare for fall and give staff breaks.
- Most restaurants plan to reopen in August or September.
As the Valley heats up, a growing number of metro Phoenix restaurants are hitting pause for the season. Whether it’s to escape the triple-digit temps, regroup before the fall rush, do some research for future menus or give staff a well-earned breather, these spots are temporarily closing their doors for the summer months. From a hidden BYOB fine-dining gem to a buzzy downtown pasta joint to a favorite Thai restaurant and a East Valley Italian market, these restaurants are planning to return — just not until August or September.
