The B. W. Bakery, better known as Baker Wee in Phoenix, featuring its custom cakes and neighborhood roots, is celebrating 30 years of serving the Valley with the opening of its second location at Arrowhead Towne Center in Glendale.
The mall kiosk will have a special grand opening weekend planned for Aug. 2-3.
The new storefront quietly opened in June on the ground floor of the mall’s center court near the Apple Store and Victoria’s Secret. It features a curated menu that includes cake slices, brownies, lemon bars, cheesecake and rotating gluten-free and vegan options
Baker Wee added Italian sodas, parfait cups and a build-your-own cupcake bar, where guests select cake flavor, filling, frosting, toppings, and drizzle.
Grand opening weekend includes family-friendly events, giveaways and discounts.
From noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, kids can enjoy face painting and a cupcake decorating station at the bakery’s kiosk.
All weekend, customers can buy discounted products and enter the “cake or fake?” raffle, where realistic cake sculptures meet sweets.
“This is such a joyful milestone for us,” stated Scott Everson-Moritz, co-owner of Baker Wee, in a press release. “We’ve been part of the community for 30 years, and now with this second location, we get to share our artistry and joy with even more families in the Valley.”
The original Baker Wee is at 4263 W. Thunderbird Road in Phoenix and offers full-service custom orders.
The new location was designed to highlight the bakery’s creative spirit and artistry, with several sculpted cake dummies on display. Now in its third generation of ownership, The Baker Wee Bakery continues to specialize in custom celebration cakes, 3D sculpted designs, and desserts that reflect both artistry and nostalgia.
