The Houston Texans have their first pre-season game this Saturday — but today — they’re inspiring young students to dream big on, and off the field. They hosted a special ‘career day’ with students from Aldine ISD and Big Brothers Big Sisters featuring local legends who have built successful careers in music, sports, and more. Bun B was on hand to chat all about going from the music industry to the burger business with Trill Burgers, and Houston Texans legends Tim Jamison and ND Kalu got to speak to the students about careers in sports, businesses and beyond — emphasizing the importance of work ethic, adaptability, and the importance of giving back to the community and stepping out of your comfort zone. And one of the most important takeaways was this phrase: Talent gets you noticed, but character is what keeps you in the game—whether it’s music, sports, or business.
