UFC Shanghai went down THIS MORNING (Sat., Aug. 23, 2025) inside Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China. The main event was Johnny Walker vs. Zhang Mingyang in the Light Heavyweight division. Zhang was looking to stay perfect in UFC, while Walker was looking to not lose his third in a row.
Also on the main card was Sergei Pavlovich vs. Waldo Cortes-Acosta, Sumudaerji vs. Kevin Borjas and Kiefer Crosbie vs. Taiyilake Nueraji.
UFC Shanghai’s “Prelims” were headlined by Maheshate Hayisaer vs. Gauge Young. The undercard was stacked with exciting China-based and international talent. Among those fighters were Lone’er Kavanagh (who fought Charles Johnson), Rongzhu (who metAustin Hubbard) and Yizha (who duelled Westin Wilson). The often entertaining Michel Pereira was also on the card. He fought the returning Kyle Daukaus.
