If you’re doing business in downtown Fort Collins, heads up: the city is rolling out a game plan for parking changes and wants you in the loop. Come September 17, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., the powers that be are hosting a drop-in info session at Elevations Credit Union on 221 E. Mountain Ave. No need to RSVP, just show up when you can to catch the scoop on what’s in the pipeline for downtown parking, according to the City of Fort Collins.

Remember, everything’s on the table: paid parking, time-limited zones getting a boost, parking enforcement hours getting stretched, plus improving the parking experience and wayfinding. They’re also cooking up better parking options for employees and commuters. Curious about when and how these updates will get off the ground? That’s what this meeting is for.

The City’s been clear about its aims. They want a downtown that’s hopping with activity, a parking experience that doesn’t make you cringe, and a system that can stand on its own two feet, financially speaking. And it’s not just about parking for the sake of parking, the plan’s supposed to jive with the City’s overall transportation management. The lowdown on this agenda went public on August 27, as per the City of Fort Collins.
