Lise Heidal, president of event sponsor NEP Europe, delivers some opening remarks
At the annual SVG Europe Women event at IBC in Amsterdam on Saturday 13 September, attendees heard about the growth of women’s sport from a broadcast and federation perspective, with speakers from Sky Deutschland and Premier Padel.
Following an update on SVG Europe Women from head of the initiative and SVG Europe editor, Heather McLean, the networking event kicked off with some opening remarks from Lise Heidal, president of event sponsor NEP Europe.
She welcomed attendees and spoke about leading with vision, delivering with excellence and the importance of supporting networks such as SVG Europe Women.
This was followed by a conversation with Premier Padel head of broadcast, Holly Flatley, and Sky Deutschland’s director of operations, Julia Boettger.

Flatley and Boettger discussed the growth of Premier Padel and emerging sports, how federations, leagues, and broadcasters are working to push the rising star of women’s sport onscreen across Europe, as well as their own careers behind the lens in this increasingly diverse field of live television.
