ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A person is being treated for possible injuries after crews worked to put out an apartment fire in southwest Atlanta on Sunday morning.
Units arrived at the scene of the Retreat at Greenbriar apartment complex, located at 3000 Continental Colony Parkway SW, around 6:45 a.m.
An Atlanta News First crew with the First Alert Breaking News Tracker was at the scene, where Atlanta Fire Rescue crews worked to take out the flames.
According to fire officials, one person was taken to Grady Hospital after being looked at by EMS units at the scene. At this time, the person’s condition is unknown.
AFR says the fire has been “extinguished” at this time.
No word has been given about how the fire started, but fire officials say the investigation is ongoing.
