Do you know a Hispanic or Latino leader in Massachusetts? MassLive wants to hear from you.

We are accepting nominations for a select number of leaders we will highlight next month.

National Hispanic Heritage Month is Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, and MassLive is looking for reader nominations to highlight for our ongoing Leading Massachusetts series.

Hispanic Heritage Month began in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson, and later was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to encompass a month-long period.

The month-long recognition acknowledges the role Hispanic and Latino people play in our communities and the world, and how they help shape our future.

MassLive began its Massachusetts leaders series in 2023 to celebrate individuals making a difference across the state. Our Leading Massachusetts series has highlighted leaders from Black, Hispanic/Latino, Indigenous, Asian and Pacific Islander and LGBTQ+ communities, as well as business and innovation, social media, higher education and political leaders.

Please nominate individuals by filling out the form at this link or in the embedded form below by Friday, Oct. 3, and be sure to include contact information for how we can reach the person.
