NFL Week 4 best bets: Consider Commanders and Packers on Sunday
Need help with your picks? Lorenzo Reyes explains what makes the odds for Commanders-Falcons, Chargers-Giants and Packers-Cowboys so enticing.
The NFL is adding a new stamp to its passport in 2025.
Since the NFL launched its “International Series” in 2007, 49 games have been played abroad. To date, none of them has taken place in Ireland.
That changes with the 50th International Series game in Week 4, when the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings kick off the Sunday slate with an interconference game at Croke Park in Dublin.
The NFL has been (geographically) close to playing games in Ireland for years. Most of the NFL games that have been played internationally – to be specific, 39 of them so far – have taken place in London.
Ireland is also no stranger to hosting American football games. There have been 11 college football games on the Emerald Isle since 1988, including one each year since 2022.
Here’s what to know about the NFL’s history abroad:
Has the NFL ever had a game in Ireland?
Sunday’s game between the Steelers and Vikings in Week 4 will be the first time an NFL game takes place in Ireland.
