San Antonio Police release bodycam footage of shooting at Market Square

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) has released bodycam footage of the shooting that killed two people and injured four at Market Square.

The shooting happened on April 28, the second to last night of the festivities of Fiesta De Los Reyes.

Just after midnight on April 28th, police say that two suspects began to fire at one another amid a crowd of people at Market Square.

Police later identified the suspects as 18-year-old Mikey Valdes and 20-year-old Albert Cisneros Jr.

Officers opened fire on the 18-year-old suspect, striking him. The 18-year-old was pronounced dead on the scene, the 20-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Five bystanders were injured in the incident, with two being hospitalized for their injuries.

The incident raised concerns among Fiesta Vendors and guests, but this did little to stop attendees from enjoying the last night of Fiesta.
