The MJ Companies has announced the addition of Melinda Eckard as vice president of employee benefits operations and client experience.
In this role, Ms. Eckard will lead the strategic direction of employee benefit operations, work to enhance client experience and support growth.
As vice president of employee benefits operations, Ms. Eckard will align operational strategy with compliance requirements to maintain client service standards. Her focus will include translating business goals into strategies that address changes in the insurance landscape.
Ms. Eckard will be based in Phoenix but will oversee employee benefits operations nationally, according to a press release.
“Focusing on our employee benefits operations and client experience is an integral part of what we do on a daily basis,” said Andy Vetor, president of benefits consulting and chief growth officer of The MJ Companies. “Adding a seasoned professional like Melinda to our team will help us meet the changing needs of our clients,” Mr. Vetor said.
Ms. Eckard has nearly two decades of experience in insurance, risk management and employee benefits. She previously held roles with Willis Towers Watson, where she led initiatives to improve compliance and quality processes and supported technology implementation. She also holds a Life and Health Producer/Agent license in Arizona.
