Follow along for live updates as the Cowboys return home to host JJ McCarthy and the Minnesota Vikings.
The Dallas Cowboys are barely clinging on to life in their hunt to make the NFC playoffs. The club, sitting with a 6-6-1 record entering Week 15, have sat bak and watched the full slate of games unfold before they hit the field for Sunday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings.
Things did not go great for the Cowboys in the early window, but that was somewhat to be expected. The two main teams the Cowboys are rooting for to lose, the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears, faced off against two of the league’s worst teams. As expected, both won comfortably over the Raiders and Browns, respectively.
While they aren’t the only paths to the playoffs, the Eagles losing twice or the Bears losing three times were the clearest path to the playoffs if Dallas can win four in a row, starting with Sunday night at AT&T Stadium. The late afternoon window offered some hope to have more teams join the fray of possibilities.
The Cowboys got some help with the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Carolina Panthers all falling. Now the team has to handle their own business.
