LANSING, Ill. — A Lansing resident is starring in a new holiday rom-com, “Christmas in Chicago,” with two film screenings planned Monday in Chicago.
The film depicts one woman’s plan to revitalize her Chicago neighborhood and her family’s toy store with a planned ornament scavenger hunt. Lansing’s Julian Griffith plays Tommy, described as “a son fighting to save his family’s small business.”
Griffith is known for his role in Hardball, when he was 10. His other acting credits include, among others, Journey to the End of the Night, Chicago Med, South Side, The Home, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.
Griffith was raised in Bellwood and went to school in South Holland at Seton Academy.
Two final screenings of “Christmas in Chicago” are planned Monday, Dec. 22 at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Platform 47, 4709 North Damen Ave. in Chicago. For tickets to the screening, go to www.ChristmasinChicagoMovie.com.
A spokesperson for Three Lifetimes Media said the movie is not available to stream online, but that they hoped to have a wider availability soon.
