PHOENIX — Two Valley moving companies, Muscular Moving Men & Storage and M3 Commercial Moving & Logistics, broke ground on their joint headquarters in north Phoenix earlier this month.

Muscular Moving Men & Storage is a residential moving company that started from a Craigslist ad and has been serving metro Phoenix since 2008.

Muscular Moving Men CEO Josh Jurhill started M3 Commercial Moving & Logistics with President Justin Hodge in 2019. They brought on Jim Stevens to lead M3 as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner.

“As a Phoenix native of 42 years and an entrepreneur that started our organization over 17 years ago, the acquisition of land and building a revolutionary headquarters in my hometown is the realization of an ever-evolving dream,” Jurhill said in a press release. “This is an investment into our community and an investment into our organization.

“This will be a home base that not only myself, but our team of about 150 people, can be proud to start and end each day. I am truly grateful to be part of this wonderful country, state and city that have enabled us to thrive and provided us with the opportunities for success that this building represents.”

Details on moving company headquarters in north Phoenix

The architect and general contractor for the headquarters is LGE Design Build and it will be located near Cave Creek Road and Rose Garden Lane.

“Our goal with this headquarters was to create a space that not only optimizes daily operations but also elevates the employee experience, blending warehouse, workspace, training and lifestyle elements into a single, inspiring environment,” LGE Design Build President Mike Stafford said. “We’re proud to help build a facility that reflects Muscular Moving Men and M3’s dynamic culture and supports their long-term growth.”

The headquarters will be 68,542 square feet and have a 32-foot clear height. In addition, it will feature conference rooms, a break room and a warehouse training room with a built-in moving truck.

It will also have a fully-equipped fitness center with showers, as well as a desert garden with a patio for employee use.

In addition, the building will have modernized dispatch hub and climate-controlled storage solutions.

“The journey to this moment has been three years in the making, with the project facing several hurdles even before construction began,” LGE Design Build Executive Josh Rogers said. “LGE successfully navigated multiple rounds of rezoning to secure the green light. It’s important to note that none of this can happen without a partner like Muscular Moving Men and M3 Commercial. Their trust in us made it possible to push through every challenge and prove our resilience and ability to deliver, even on the most complex projects.”
