At 6-foot-3, 195 pounds (per school measurements), Tate has great length, body control along the sideline and ball-tracking ability. He helped QB Julian Sayin develop into a Heisman Trophy candidate in his first season starting at OSU. Tate is a contested-catch standout, with the ability to bring in tough passes other receivers fail to secure.

Tate might lack elite physical skills, and his athletic testing will be revealing for just how high he can be drafted. Although he’s been an excellent deep threat in college, Tate has shown three-level efficiency. For his career, he averaged 15.5 yards per catch, with 121 receptions for 1,872 yards and 14 TDs in 40 games.

Ohio State has been one of the best WR factories for the NFL the past few seasons, with five first-round picks at the position over the past four drafts. Tate possesses the skill set to be the Buckeyes’ latest great at the position at the next level.
