In its first season under coordinator Chris Banjo, the Jets special teams were rated as the fourth-best unit in the NFL (90.6) by Pro Football Focus, headlined by WR Isaiah Williams (90.9) and RB Kene Nwangwu (90.6) as PFF’s No. 1 and No. 2 highest returner grades (min. 20% snaps).

The duo combined for 3 return touchdowns — a kickoff and 2 punts — and the Jets led the NFL in total return yards (2,666) as a team.

In addition, first-year starting punter Austin McNamara (90.3) was the second-highest graded punter by PFF. McNamara, the special teams player of the month for November, landed 32 punts inside the 20-yard-line, the second most in the NFL.

McNamara was named to PFF’s second team All-Pro while Nwangwu and Williams were named to the first team.

Here are other Jets players who received high grades from PFF.

No Rookie Wall for Armand Membou
Rookie RT Armand Membou, the No. 7 overall selection in last April’s NFL Draft, started every game for the Green & White during his rookie season and was the second-highest rated rookie offensive lineman (min. 50% of snaps) by PFF (73.3).

Membou, out of Missouri, posted his best single-week grade in Week 1 (89.0) against the Steelers. He matched up with All-Pro edge defender T.J. Watt during the season-opener and did not surrender a single sack or pressure, according to PFF.

Membou finished the regular season as one of just 10 tackles leaguewide to play 1,000-plus snaps and earn a 70.0-plus PFF overall grade. He was one of only two rookies to do so.

“The 21-year-old is poised to pair with Olu Fashanu to propel the Jets’ line into the next era with a new quarterback in 2026 and beyond,” PFF’s Ben Cooper wrote.
