LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Those looking for a new career are invited to a series of upcoming events offering connections with hiring businesses across Southern Nevada.
On Tuesday, Jan. 20, EmployNV will be holding its Mock Interview Sessions. giving career seekers a great opportunity to practice interview skills and receive feedback. The first session will take place from 8:30 p.m. to 11 a.m. and the second session is set to last until 3 p.m. at the EmployNV Career Hub located at 3405 S. Maryland Parkway.
On Wednesday, Jan. 21, there will be an interactive Resume Writing Workshop, providing instructions on formatting, strategies to stand out, along with other tools and resources. The event will start at 9 a.m. and is expected to last an hour at the EmployNV Career Hub.
Rebel Stores is hiring store managers, paying $14 to $19 per hour. Interviews will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Employ NV Business Hub located at 9600 W. Sahara Avenue. To view positions and for additional information, click here.
EmployNV will be hosting its Job Application Workshop, giving job seekers a chance to take their job applications to the next level with expert-led guidance and practical strategies. The event will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the EmployNV Career Hub.
On Thursday, Feb. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sahara West Library, located at 9600 W. Sahara Avenue, career seekers are invited to a free Veterans Resource Expo. Attendees will get a chance to connect with dozens of providers offering VA benefits, education, training, employment, mental health services, legal aid, peer support and more. The event is open to veterans, active service members, spouses, dependents and caregivers’ families. To pre-register, click here.
Career seekers can get one-on-one help with resumes, job referrals, and training by visiting their nearest EmployNV Career Hub. Career seekers who are out of work or looking to change careers are encouraged to register with Nevada’s largest database of jobs at EmployNV.gov.
Pre-registration is encouraged for the events via the EmployNV.gov online event calendar. Walk-ins are welcome.
