Building toward bigger goalsFamily support

GALIVANTS FERRY, S.C. (InvestigateTV) — Two 10-year-olds have turned a traditional lemonade stand into a business venture to fund their future goals.

Savannah Kamel and Avalyn Nichols operate their lemonade stand outside Savannah’s home in Galivants Ferry, South Carolina, selling cups of lemonade for $1 each.

“It’s fun to be out here, and we like selling stuff, and it’s giving us something to do,” Savannah said.

The girls wear lemon-print aprons and name tags while serving customers. They offer both homemade and canned lemonade options.

Building toward bigger goals

Savannah uses the profits to purchase workout supplies as part of her goal to join WWE when she gets older.

“It feels really good, like, that people actually stop here and, like, help us get to our goal,” Savannah said.

Avalyn decided to help her friend with the business venture.

“I want to help because lemonade, doing it with one person is not that easy. As soon as she asked me, I was like, ‘Yeah, why not?’” Avalyn said.

Family support

Savannah’s grandmother, Jennifer Parker, built the lemonade stand over three days. Parker said she is impressed that her granddaughter works for what she wants during her free time.

“She’s always been this little entrepreneur, you know? Making bracelets, just all these little things to try to earn money, and I think it’s wonderful. So, you know, I gotta help her out,” Parker said.

The girls continue to run their stand while developing customer service skills and business experience.
