DENVER, Colo. – The North Dakota men’s basketball team continues its three-game road stint, taking on Denver at 3 p.m. on Saturday from Hamilton Gymnasium. Coverage can be found on Summit League Network and heard on 100.3 The Cat.
It is the 18th meeting all-time between UND and Denver, with UND leading the all-time series 10-7. The Fighting Hawks have won two-straight games at Denver and own a 5-3 record overall on the road against the Pioneers. Denver won the last meeting between these two teams in Grand Forks on Feb. 13, 2025 by a score of 68-64.
The Fighting Hawks are coming off a 79-62 win over Oral Roberts on Thursday night, improving to 5-2 in conference play. Four starters scored in double figures, led by Zach Kraft who had a career-high 22 points on 8-of-9 shooting and 6-for-7 from three-point range. The Hawks led by as many as 20.
Scouting the Opposition
Denver enters this contest losing four of its last five games, dropping a home matchup to North Dakota State on Thursday, 82-77.
The Pioneers lead the Summit League in points per game, averaging 84.0 points per contest. The team is led by sophomore guard, Carson Johnson, who is averaging 18.6 points per game on 42.3% from deep.
