DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) — Over a foot of snow has fallen across much of the Miami Valley, and snow continues to fall through the evening.
Heavy to moderate snow will continue to add on to those totals through the early afternoon, with light snow tapering off this evening.
Once the snow moves out, brutally cold wind chills take over. A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for Monday from midnight to 6 pm Monday as wind chills could drop as low at -15 below zero during the day on Monday, but it will be even colder on Tuesday!
An Extreme Cold Warning is in effect from 6 pm Monday until noon Tuesday when wind chills could drop as low as 25 below zero.
It’s important to dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside. Also, keep pets indoors as much as possible.
