PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) – High school art students completed a mural for a small business in Downtown Paragould.
Eleven Paragould High School students spent several days tracing, sketching, and painting a mural for Applelicious Gourmet Apples and Treats.
Senior Reese Fulkerson said the idea sprouted from the owner’s generosity.
“This establishment has decided they are going to sponsor a scholarship in the name of art students,” Fulkerson said. “So we decided we’d give them a good mural and we just enjoyed doing it.”
All of the artists who participated signed their names at the top of the mural. Those students include Fulkerson, Makaila Blu Armstrong, Hannah Vowell, Caelyn Edwards, Kiera Friend, Luann Shearer, Sam Deerman, Omar Salinas, Sid Armstrong, Kylie Walker, and Skyla Tate.
Fulkerson spent hours painting one specific sweet treat on the wall.
“The chocolate bar up in the corner. I cannot stand painting in a brown color,” Fulkerson said.
The students’ hard work can be seen on the side of the building, Applelicious is located at West Highland Street.
