That location was in Katy in the La Centerra shopping center.
HOUSTON — Austin-based movie chain movie theater chain Alamo Drafthouse has closed its Katy location at La Centerra.
It was the only remaining Alamo Drafthouse in the Houston area. Saturday was reportedly the theater’s last day of operation. On Sunday, staff placed a notice a notice on the door saying the theater was no longer in operation.
The La Centerra location had been in business since the summer of 2018. It had eight auditoriums and could seat up to 824 people.
We’ve also learned that the company’s El Paso and Lubbock locations have also shut their doors.
If you’ve booked tickets at the theater, Alamo Drafthouse said refunds will be issued. It is also automatically canceling season pass subscriptions and issuing pro-rated refunds for the service.
If you bought tickets through a third party, Alamo Drafthouse says to reach out to the vendor.
