Only one team in the NFL has more picks in the 2026 NFL Draft than the New England Patriots. The defending AFC Champions are scheduled to make 11 picks in this year’s draft.
New England has a selection in all seven rounds of the draft, which kicks off on Thursday, April 23rd, and concludes on Saturday, April 25th.
- Round 1: Pick 31
- Round 2: Pick 63
- Round 3: Pick 95
- Round 4: Pick 125
- Round 4: Pick 131
- Round 5: Pick 171
- Round 6: Pick 191
- Round 6: Pick 198
- Round 6: Pick 202
- Round 6: Pick 212
- Round 7: Pick 247
In my opinion, there isn’t one position the Patriots can rule out on draft night. Their biggest need is undoubtedly edge rusher, with wide receiver looming narrowly behind.
But when it comes to the rest of the defensive line, there’s no reason New England couldn’t use a selection on a rotational piece.
Off-ball linebacker is also a spot fans can all-but guarantee to see addressed with at least one of the 11 selections.
As far as the offensive line is concerned, the Patriots have all five starting positions filled, but are heavily rumored to be looking for their right tackle of the future in the first three rounds.
I also expect the Patriots to select at least one running back, safety, and cornerback, respectively.
The front office hit a home run in the 2025 NFL Draft, selecting several day-one starters. They will be looking to do more of the same at the end of the month, with plenty of positions left unfilled.
