American Airlines eliminated the automatic printing of boarding passes at bag check for passengers who checked in online prior to arriving at the airport as of March 31.
According to a news release, the change was to promote the use of digital boarding passes through the company’s website and app.

Most domestic flights American Airlines will begin boarding five minutes earlier, starting May 1, according to a social media post.
The move was made to expedite the process for the nine boarding groups.
Rachel Warner, a spokesperson for American Airlines, said the change will give the crew more time to assist passengers with oversized carry-on luggage and ease the passenger pile-up on the jet bridge.

American Airlines unveiled a new slate of food options April 4 for travelers using its flagship Admiral Club lounges at DFW Airport, Chicago O’Hare, Los Angeles International, JFK International Airport in New York and Miami International Airport. The lounge, available for passengers flying Flagship First or business class, is in Terminal D at DFW Airport.
All dishes feature fresh, seasonal ingredients and were created by James Beard Award-winning chefs local to each city, according to a news release.
Tiffany Derry, owner of three local Dallas-Fort Worth area restaurants, will offer a dish featuring coconut chicken curry, carrots, onions, potatoes and peas.
Derry operates Roots Chicken Shak in Plano and Radici Wood Fired Grill and Roots Southern Table, both located in Farmers Branch. She has appeared on Bravo’s Top Chef and Top Chef: All-Stars.
