Ashland, Angleton’s first master-planned community, begins pre-sales as builders finish the first phase of new homes near Highway 288.
ANGLETON, Texas — The first master-planned community in Angleton has completed first-phase homesites and started pre-sales.
Sugar Land-based Ashton Gray Development’s Ashland, which is designed to have more than 2,000 single-family homes, is located along state Highway 288 and FM 521 just north of the Brazoria County seat, in the city’s extra-territorial jurisdiction.
Ashton Gray has delivered the first 450 lots to eight builders: Ashton Woods, CastleRock Communities, Lennar, K. Hovnanian Homes, Saratoga Homes and Ashton Woods affiliate Starlight Homes. They will range from about 1,400 to 3,000 square feet on 50-, 55- and 60-foot-wide lots and be priced from about $300,000 to the $400,000s.
All of the builders are close to opening their model homes, and 65 houses are under construction as of Oct. 16, according to Mark Janik, vice president of land at Ashton Gray.
At least one builder, Ashton Woods, has begun pre-selling homes.
