Metro Phoenix has a huge variety of grocery stores and it seems like almost every month, a new store announces plans to open.
In 2026, Aldi revealed it will open 10 new stores in metro Phoenix this year. Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods are both expanding with new locations in the northwest Valley.
Out-of-state grocery chains are also flocking to metro Phoenix. Seafood City, a California-based Filipino grocery store, is expected to open in Chandler this year, and Osaka Marketplace, a Japanese grocer, announced plans to open in north Phoenix in 2027.
With so many grocery options, we want to know where you get your groceries. We also know the answer may not be so simple. Perhaps you get your seafood at one store, but are loyal to the deli counter at another. That’s why we’ve broken up the grocery poll into categories so you can sound off on which grocery store has the freshest produce, tastiest prepared food and best butcher counter.
