Beyonce Knowles-Carter had a technical malfunction that left fans scared at night one of her ‘Cowboy Carter’ concert in Houston. The Texas native was suspended in the air in a prop car to singing her hit ‘16 Carriages’ when the red vehicle started tilting sideways.
“Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop,” the ‘Texas Hold Em’ singer is heard on the microphone telling her production to pause and bring her down to the stage. Once safely on the ground, Beyonce powered through her concert like a true professional and continued singing the hit song to the crowd.
The ‘Pray You Catch Me’ singer joked once “I want to thank y’all for loving me. If ever I fall, I know y’all will catch me.”
Parkwood released a statement on Instagram stories addressing the mishap, writing “ a technical mishap caused the flying car, a prop Beyonce uses to circle the stadium and see her fans up close, to tilt.”
“She was quickly lowered and no one was injured. The show continued without incident,” the statement continued.
While Queen Bey didn’t comment directly, she took to Instagram after the incident with a recap of highlights from her first stop in her hometown.
“I love you, Houston,” she wrote in the caption.
The ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour just returned from Paris, where the singer had a surprise duet with Miley Cyrus on night one, singing their Grammy-winning ballad ‘II Most Wanted.’ Her Paris stop was full of unexpected appearances.
Bey also brought out her superstar husband Jay Z, marking the first time the couple has performed together since the ‘Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100’ in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2018.
The powerhouse couple performed their hit ‘Crazy in Love’ and ‘Drunk in Love’ remixed with ‘Partition,’ before the rapper put on a solo performance of his song “N—-s in Paris.”
