PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is dead after being hit by a vehicle while he was on a bicycle Sunday night in north Phoenix.
Phoenix Police responded to the crash around 9:30 p.m. near Cave Creek and Cactus roads.
Officers found a man who was seriously injured in the road. Fire officials responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene. He has not yet been identified.
Police said the driver of the vehicle involved stopped nearby and made the call for emergency services.
The area was restricted as the investigation was carried out, but all roads are now reopen.
Police did not say if distracted or impaired driving played a factor in the crash.
