On Tuesday morning, the 15th NWSL expansion club officially revealed their name and colors. The newly minted BOS Nation FC will proudly wear “Championship Green” as their primary color—a tribute to the city’s famed resilience, with a nod to the “Boston Strong” spirit that embodies its tenacity and strength. The club’s accent colors are “Relentless Raspberry, Loyal Charcoal, Daring Pink, Rise Yellow and Orange Press, which speak to the rich diversity of Boston’s neighborhoods and the team’s values and signal a new era in the city’s sports landscape.”
The club’s launch ceremony, set for this evening at Dick’s House of Sport in downtown Boston, will feature special guests including Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, and Boston native and former NWSL star Sam Mewis.
Aly Raisman and actress Elizabeth Banks, both Massachusetts natives, are joining forces as the newest members of the ownership group.
Banks emphasized the groundbreaking nature of the project in the club’s official press release: “I am thrilled to join this female-led ownership group, each of whom has made a remarkable impact in Boston. The inspiring team of investors, along with their mission-driven vision for the stadium, will leave a lasting legacy on future generations of women’s athletes and fans.”
BOS Nation FC will reveal its crest at a later date and officially begin play in 2026.
